Fairhaven Music
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026
This policy explains what information the Fairhaven Music app (“the app”) uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. The app is provided by Fairhaven Music (“we”, “us”) so members can listen to the Fairhaven Music library.
The short version
- The app connects only to the Fairhaven Music server at listen.fairhavenmusic.net.
- We don’t sell your information or share it with advertisers.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking tools.
Information the app sends to the Fairhaven Music server
To work, the app communicates with the Fairhaven Music server:
- Your account sign-in. When you sign in, your username and password are sent to the server to verify your account. The server returns an access token, which the app uses to keep you signed in. The app does not keep your password after you sign in.
- Device details. Each request includes your account identifier, the app’s name and version, your device’s name or model, and an identifier for your device, so the server can manage your signed-in devices.
- Listening activity. When you play music, the app tells the server what is playing and your progress. The server uses this for features like play history, “recently played,” and resuming playback.
- Your library choices. Favorites and playlists you create are saved to your account on the server. Playlists are private to your account.
This information is stored on the Fairhaven Music server and is used only to provide the music service to you.
Information stored on your device
The app stores some information on your device so it can work properly:
- Your sign-in details (an account identifier and access token, not your password)
- Your app settings
- Music you choose to download for offline listening
- Diagnostic logs of the app’s activity
Diagnostic logs stay on your device. They are shared only if you choose to share or copy them yourself, for example when asking for help.
Signing out removes your sign-in details from the app. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device, including downloads.
Permissions
Depending on your device, the app may ask for:
- Notifications (Android), to show playback controls while music is playing.
- Media library (iPhone), only if you choose to save downloads to your media library.
- Siri (iPhone), so you can play music with voice commands. Voice requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Photos or camera (iPhone), only used by the file picker if you choose to import a file.
The app does not use your location. Declining any permission doesn’t affect the rest of the app.
Links to other websites
The app includes links to websites, such as our account help page and the app’s source code. Those websites have their own privacy practices.
Sharing your information
We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. We may disclose information only if required by law.
Your choices
- You can sign out of the app at any time in Settings.
- You can delete downloaded music in the app or by uninstalling it.
- To ask about your account or the information associated with it, or to request that it be deleted, contact us using the details below.
